Journey Time Surveys are crucial to calibrate and validate traffic models, and for use in economic assessment. We have vast experience in such surveys, and fully understand the need for accurate data.
We can carry out these surveys either by camera, by GPS unit, or both. We will also provide DVDs of any surveys carried out by camera to allow you to view unusual driver behaviour / congestion, and to further assist with your modelling needs.
As part of our Journey Time Surveys, we can also provide information of “platooning” of vehicles. This allows you to see where congestion can occur and where overtaking opportunities are provided. This is vital not only from a modelling point of view, but also a road safety point of view.
